Who we are

Helisep Inc. ("Helisep", "we") runs helisep.com and decides how the personal information collected through it is used. Under European and UK data protection law, that makes Helisep the controller of that information.

The short version

  • You can read the site, the Global Helium-3 Atlas and its record pages without giving us your name or email address.
  • We receive contact details only when you send them: a message, a sign-up for updates, a correction to the Atlas, or a request for investor access.
  • On public pages we measure visits with Google Analytics. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and wherever your browser sends Global Privacy Control, analytics cookies stay off until you allow them.
  • Inside the investor portal we record what signed-in investors open, read and download. The sign-in and request forms say so before you use them.
  • We do not sell personal information, and the site carries no advertising.

What we collect and why

When youWe receiveWe use it toWe keep it
Send a message from the contact page Your name, organization, work email, the role you choose and your message Answer you and route the inquiry to the right person As long as the conversation, and any relationship that follows, needs it. Ask and we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Sign up for updates Your name and email address Send occasional notes when the program clears a milestone or the Atlas gains records Until you ask to be removed. Reply to any update, or write to info@helisep.com.
Send a correction or comment about the Atlas Your email address if you give one, the record you name and your message Check the record and correct the Atlas Until the correction is handled, then as a record of the change
Request investor access, or ask for help with a password Your first and last name, organization, title, email address, phone number, the type of inquiry, who referred you and your message, with the IP address and browser the request came from Review the request, including the export-control screening helium-3 requires, and reply As a record of the request and our decision. The IP address and browser details are erased after 180 days.
Hold an investor account Your account details, the period your access runs for, your password stored only as a one-way hash, and your sign-in sessions Let you sign in, keep the account secure and end access on the date set for it As long as the account exists. Sign-in sessions are deleted 90 days after they end.
Read the briefing or the data room while signed in Your sign-ins, the pages and sections you view and for how long, how far you scroll, what you click, the documents you view or download, and your IP address and browser Protect confidential materials, keep a record of who opened them, and learn which parts of the program matter most to investors As long as the account exists. IP address and browser details are erased after 180 days.
Visit a public page Through Google Analytics: the pages you view, the page that sent you, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and actions on the page Understand how people find and use the site, and improve it For the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes the event data
Load any page Through our host: your IP address, the address requested, the time, your browser and the referring page Deliver the site and protect it from abuse For the short period our host keeps its request logs

Google Analytics does not load for anyone signed in to the investor portal or the admin console, and it never runs inside the portal.

Legal bases

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Consent for analytics cookies and the update list. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Contract, and the steps before one for investor access requests and accounts.
  • Legitimate interests for answering messages, correcting the Atlas, securing the site and the portal, and keeping a record of who opened confidential materials. We weigh these interests against your rights, and you can object.
  • Legal obligation for export-control screening and the records the law requires us to keep.

Who receives it

We use service providers that process information for us under contract, only to provide their service:

  • Netlify, Inc. hosts the site, receives form submissions and stores data room files.
  • Neon runs the database that holds investor accounts and portal activity.
  • Google LLC provides Google Analytics on public pages.
  • iubenda S.r.l. provides the cookie banner and records your cookie choices.
  • CARTO, OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap and jsDelivr receive your browser's request, including your IP address, when a page draws a map, so they can deliver map images and map code.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a party to a financing, merger or sale of the business under a duty of confidentiality. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

International transfers

Helisep is based in the United States, and most of our providers process data there or in other countries. If you contact us from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, your information is transferred to the United States. Where a provider takes part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, we rely on that. Otherwise we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another safeguard the law allows. Write to us for details.

How we protect it

Connections to the site are encrypted. Investor passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes, sign-in cookies cannot be read by scripts on the page, and the admin console is limited to the Helisep team. Investor access ends automatically on the date set for each account. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • send it to you in a portable format
  • stop using it for a purpose, or limit how we use it
  • remove you from the update list

Write to info@helisep.com. We answer within one month, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first. Using these rights will not change how we treat you. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission.

You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting what happened before it. To change your cookie choices, use Cookie preferences. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a refusal of analytics cookies.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, the requests above cover your rights to know, correct and delete, and we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define the terms.

Children

The site is meant for professionals and investors. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle information, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects something you agreed to, we ask again where the law requires it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. helisep.com uses a few that the site needs in order to work, and Google Analytics cookies where you allow them or where the law does not require consent. There are no advertising cookies.

Strictly necessary

These are always on, because the map, the investor portal and your cookie choices depend on them. None of them is used to track you.

NameSet byWhat it doesHow long
hx_s Helisep Lets your browser load the Atlas map data and stops automated bulk copying of it. It holds a signed token and no personal details. 6 hours
__Host-hs_session Helisep Keeps an investor or administrator signed in Until you sign out, and at most 30 days for investors and 7 days for administrators. It ends sooner after 72 hours (investors) or 12 hours (administrators) without activity.
hs_in Helisep Records only that the browser is signed in, so the site loads no third-party scripts for it Until you sign out, and at most 30 days
hx_o Helisep Keeps the Helisep team signed in to its internal research workspace 12 hours
_iub_cs-* iubenda Remembers your cookie choices, so the banner does not ask again on every page Up to 12 months
helis_welcome_v1 (local storage) Helisep Remembers that you closed the Atlas welcome panel Until you clear your browser storage

Analytics

Google Analytics cookies count visits and show which pages are useful. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and for browsers that send Global Privacy Control, they are not set until you accept analytics in the banner. Elsewhere they are set when a public page loads, and you can turn them off at any time.

NameSet byWhat it doesHow long
_ga Google Tells repeat visits from the same browser apart from new ones 2 years
_ga_* Google Keeps track of the current visit 2 years

Google Analytics runs on this site with its advertising features switched off: Google signals and ad personalization are disabled, and advertising storage is refused whatever you choose in the banner. If you refuse analytics, or before you choose where a choice is needed, the Google tag sets no cookies, though it may still tell Google that a page was viewed, without an identifier.

Changing your choices

  • Use Cookie preferences, or the preferences button in the corner of any public page, to change or withdraw your choice.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, and analytics cookies stay off.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones stops the Atlas map and the investor portal from working.
  • Install Google's opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.

Terms of use

These terms apply to helisep.com, the Global Helium-3 Atlas and the investor portal. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information, not an offer

The site describes a company in development. Nothing on it is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security, and nothing on it is investment, legal, tax or engineering advice. Statements about plans, milestones, technology, markets and timing look forward. They rest on current assumptions, may prove wrong and may change without notice.

The Global Helium-3 Atlas

The Atlas compiles public scientific and government data for screening helium-3 feedstock. Records can contain errors carried over from their sources or introduced in compiling them, and derived values such as helium-3 grade are estimates. No record is a resource estimate, a reserve statement or a measurement Helisep has verified in the field. Check the cited source before you rely on a record.

Each record links to its source, and source data stays subject to its publisher's terms. The compilation, the derived values, the text, the design, and the Helisep name and logo belong to Helisep Inc.

How you may use the site

You may read the site, link to any public page, and quote individual records with credit to "Helisep, Global Helium-3 Atlas" and a link to the record page. You may not:

  • copy the Atlas or its record pages in bulk, whether by scraping, crawling, scripted downloads or any other automated means. Search engines and answer engines may index the public pages as our robots.txt allows.
  • get around the protections on the map data, the investor portal or the internal workspace
  • use the site to break the law, including export-control and sanctions law, or to interfere with how it runs
  • present the Atlas, or a substantial part of it, as your own work

Export controls

Helium-3 is subject to United States export controls, including ECCN 1C232 on the Commerce Control List. Helisep screens every counterparty before a sample or a document moves, and may decline any request.

The investor portal

Access is by invitation or approved request, for the period set on each account. Your account is for you alone: keep your password private and do not share your access. Briefing and data room materials are confidential and may also be covered by a separate nondisclosure agreement, which governs where it conflicts with these terms. Do not copy, forward or publish them without our written permission. We may suspend or end access at any time. Activity in the portal is recorded as described in the privacy policy.

What you send us

Please do not send confidential or export-controlled information through the site's forms unless we have asked for it. If you send ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Other sites

Links to other sites and sources are there for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

No warranties, limited liability

The site and the Atlas are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Helisep is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
